GM Lending Group Pty Ltd (ABN 32 676 597 078) trading as Get My Lending ("Get My Lending", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information we collect, hold and handle in the course of providing credit assistance and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("Privacy Act"), the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"), and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2014.

We provide credit assistance as Credit Representatives (553977, 545792, 554097) are authorised under Australian Credit Licence (384324). References below to "we", "us", and "our" mean GM Lending Group Pty Ltd trading as Get My Lending unless the context indicates otherwise.

1. How and why we collect your personal information

We collect personal information from you, or with your authority from third parties, when you enquire about or use our products and services. Personal information we typically collect includes your name, contact details, date of birth, employment and income details, assets and liabilities, banking history, credit history, government identifier numbers where required, and other information reasonably necessary to assist you with a credit application or related service.

We collect this personal information so that we can:

•    Provide you with credit assistance and the products and services you have requested;

•    Verify your identity and meet our regulatory obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth);

•    Assess your eligibility for credit products;

•    Submit credit applications to lenders or lessors on your behalf;

•    Manage our ongoing relationship with you, including providing information about products and services available from Get My Lending or related businesses where you have consented to receive that information.

2. How we disclose your personal information

To provide our services to you, we may share your personal information with the following types of organisations:

•    Our licensee, outsource Financial Pty Ltd, which acts as our mortgage aggregator;

•    Lenders, mortgage managers, lessors, and insurers to whom we submit applications on your behalf;

•    Credit reporting bodies, where you have consented to a credit assessment;

•    Solicitors, conveyancers, accountants, auditors, valuers, and other professional advisers engaged in connection with your application;

•    Government and regulatory agencies where required by law;

•    Service providers who support our operations (for example, technology providers, printers, mailing services, and collection agents);

•    Other brokers, credit representatives, employees, contractors, and separately incorporated businesses operating under the Get My Lending brand or affiliated network, where reasonably necessary to assist with your application or maintain continuity of service.

Personal information is only disclosed to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the products and services you have requested. Where we disclose personal information to third parties, we take reasonable steps to ensure those parties handle the information in accordance with the Privacy Act and the APPs.

3. If you do not provide your personal information

To assist you in applying for credit and related products, we require certain information about you. If you do not provide all of the information we request, we may be unable to provide you with the product or service you require, or we may be limited in the lenders or products we are able to consider on your behalf.

4. Accessing and correcting your information

The Privacy Act gives you the right to access the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct that information if you believe it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To request access or correction, please contact us using the details in Section 9.

We will respond to your request within a reasonable period — typically within 30 days. In some limited circumstances we may decline a request, in which case we will provide our reasons in writing.

5. How we protect your personal information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Where personal information is no longer required for any purpose for which it may be used or disclosed and we are not required by law to retain it, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it.

6. Credit reporting bodies

If you consent, we may obtain a report about your consumer or commercial credit-worthiness from a credit reporting body ("CRB"). To do so, we may disclose to the CRB your name, date of birth, driver's licence number, and address so that the CRB can match the information against its records.

Information about how credit reporting bodies handle credit information, including their privacy policies and the rights you have in relation to the credit information they hold, is available directly from the relevant CRB.

7. Electronic communications

By providing your email address or mobile phone number, you consent to us communicating with you electronically — including by email, SMS, and messaging applications — about your application, your existing or prospective products and services, and any updates relevant to those products and services.

We may rely on this consent to send you notices and other documents electronically rather than in printed form. You may withdraw your consent to electronic communications at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 9. If you do so, you should consider whether you have the facilities to print or store any notice or document that we have sent you by email previously.

8. Marketing communications

From time to time, we may provide you with information about new products, services, or offers available from Get My Lending or other businesses with whom we have a relationship. Your consent to receive this marketing information is implied unless you tell us you do not wish to receive it.

You can withdraw your consent to receive marketing information at any time by:
